Flying High Over the Water

2011-08-07-beach_mg_2550-800w

At the beach yesterday, I flew on a mission and it was exhilarating!  I didn't know I had that extra gear in me!

I visited Bubba at the barn afterward, and he is feeling SO much better now.  Thanks for asking!  The medicines have healed his left eye and he's feeling great again.  I didn't see Harley, the Newfie, though, he wasn't around Sunday.  Today, is a gloomy Monday morning, no sunshine yet, but I'm having a play date with Romeo and Max.

Have a good day!

Playing With Piper At the Beach

Piper and I had some of the best fun together playing together at the beach.  We raced, splashed, ran, and swam, loving every minute of it, until we were exhausted.

The "B" Word is Beach!

What a fun 4th of July Weekend!  My girlfriend, Piper, who is six years old, came over for a weekend playdate and we went to the beach for some fun!  We had lot's of exercise running and swimming.  The first shot is of me running to catch the waves, and the second shot is of Piper and me racing nose to nose in the water.  We swam out about 15 feet.  More shots of Piper and me later.  Wishing everyone a beautiful summer day!

Running To Catch The Waves Beach

Hello my friends.  Hope you're having a great weekend.

Here are a couple more action shots from yesterday's beach visit as I made my first run to catch a wave before getting all wet.

Yesterday, Simon, Sophie's dad, asked me if there's anything I don't do and, if there's anything I do that I shouldn't.  Well, I cannot catch balls, frisbees or any toys for that matter.  Not I!  I just don't have impressive athletic skills and I'm not a hyper active dog who runs much. Something I love to do that I'm not supposed to do, is tear out globs of grass.  So, if someone can teach me how to catch, please do.  And, if you too are inclined to mow lawns using your mouth, then let's start a doggy mowing club.

Saturday at the Beach

I don't mind that we didn't get to the exciting beach destination that was planned for today.  The weather was not cooperative, so we didn't drive out to Stinson Beach where the waves are huge.  But you know, to me, a beach is a beach no matter where it is.

I did have a delightful spa visit after my visit to the tame beach along the bay, and now, I'm so soft and fluffy, but completely exhausted.   Modeling my new hair doo for you will just have to wait til tomorrow, as my head and eye lids are very heavy.

Have a great Saturday night everyone!

See you tomorrow.

Goofy at the Beach

Having lot's of silliness this weekend.  Everything was going just great until I put on the breaks and all my skin went flying over my face.

Sunday Beach Outing With Romeo

Sunday, April 17 2011

Two days in row at the beach, today with Romeo.  That's a super great weekend. But, the forecast is rain again starting tomorrow, so I'm really happy to have swum and splashed.  And, after the beach, I got a thorough bath, so gotta dry off!

Hope you enjoyed a fun weekend!

Beach Outing With Maddy

Saturday, April 16 2011

The weather got warmer just in time for the weekend so Maddy and I ran and played today at the beach. We had a really fun beach outing together. While I retrieved sticks in the water, she ran down the whole of the beach!  And then, she starting digging in the sand.  We all had a great time!  Now it's time for some relaxation this evening, so hopefully tomorrow we can try going again if it's warm enough.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

Sunday Beach Outing With Piper!!!

Sunday was an incredible fun blast because my big sis girlfriend, Piper, visited and we went to play at our very favorite place of all places, THE "B," the beach! She and I ran along the beach and swam in the ocean for a good hour until we were absolutely zonked.  Then we got taken to the doggy wash, and then home for a fun Sunday night dinner party. It was a fabulous weekend of warmth and sunshine, outdoor exercise and loads of fun.  It feels like winter is long gone around here now.

Seeing The Big Ocean Waves At Baker Beach, San Francisco

Seeing The Big Ocean Waves At Baker Beach, San Francisco

So here's Baker Beach, San Francisco, one of the most beautiful beautiful beaches and doggy friendly! Yes! Dogs can run wild and free off leash! And humans can sun bathe nude. The waves form gradually wide and high, and come crashing onto the beach, making lots of white foam. The view all around is quite memorable, one not to forget.

I can't keep my tongue in my mouth, it's that much fun!

Finally, I get to romp in the snow!!!

What? It's not snow?

Oh well, it'll do! And it's just as cold.

The only tracks in the sand left behind were mine! I love beaches like that. But China Beach is (sshhh - don't get mad at me please) off limits to dogs. The fines are big if caught, and luckily I didn't get caught. I only stayed on the beach for 15 minutes for a good zoomie run and cool dip in the ocean. And, then, we drove further down the cove to Baker Beach where dogs are allowed off leash!

My First Jellyfish Encounter on China Beach, San Francisco

Some dangers on the beach are jellyfish. As you can see from my face, I think jellyfish are not to be meddled with! I did not get stung, luckily this jellyfish was pretty washed up.

Running Free On China Beach, San Francisco

My last zoomie before leaving China Beach. It happens to be my favorite beach of all, but since it's closed to dogs, I doubt I'll get to visit it again. Oh well, next stop will be Baker Beach. And, that beach is enormous! Baker Beach allows people to sunbathe naked!
