As a mere one-year old pup, one of the birthday presents I received was a kit for raising butterflies. I raised six butterflies from June 24 through July 14, 2010.

Eagerly, I watched them grow everyday, from larva to butterflies. This little one we named Sparrow, and it was the first of the six butterflies to fly away.

Texture Tuesday's Anything Goes Edition

I added two layers of her "Sweet Tart" to a picture from yesterday morning in the garden.

I also want to thank everyone for your compliments on my book.  I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the movie preview yesterday.  Some of you asked about getting pawdographed books.  I think that will be pawsible, IF Very Vivi gets printed by a book publisher (someday, hopefully). Then copies will be reasonably affordable and I'd be delighted to personally pawdograph copies for all of you.  While self-publishing is a fun and exciting project to do (and I recommend trying Blurb's SmartBook if you want to make a coffee table book), the only problem is it's expensive, especially once a book goes over 90-pages and top quality papers, linens, and the largest size book are ordered.  I'll let you know if a publisher takes it.

Summer Lov'n at the Beach

Blasting off at the beach as fast as I can  ... that's 100% pure bliss.  This was one of those moments while I was zooming madly with joy.

Tomorrow will be another adventure day for me this week... two trips in one week... again, somewhere (a surprise) I've never been to before... and I can hardly wait to explore it.   

Just want to say to all of you, thank you so much for your visits and faves on my Flickr, especially yesterday's Texture Tuesday puppy pic, which I'm so glad you all enjoyed.  I sure do love sharing my happiness, smiles and excitement with you and I hope you are having an excellent day.

Texture Tuesday's Pretty Pink eDition

It's Texture Tuesday and Kim Klassen's theme today is Pretty In Pink. While borrowed from the archives, this new version of the photograph has an addition of two beautifully handmade textures by Kim Klassen, "Yesteryear" and "Aurora."  She pours her love and care into making her free-to-use textures, so thank you very much Kim!

Texture Tuesday - Upside Down Rainy Tuesday

It's been raining all day today! While my pals, Max and Devereaux seem to mind the rain, I've been my goofy usual self, hang'n upside, keep'n action going, enjoying the refreshing raindrops.

Sorry for a few days absence, but I've been snuggling with mom, cause she has been under the weather.  But what a nice surprise to to find out on my return that last Tuesday's Texture photo made Explore.  Thanks everybody!

Today's challenge is a picture with words.  I combined Kim Klassen's beautiful textures, "Yesteryear" and her latest one, "Subtly Yours."  Thanks Kim!  

Now, I've been dying to find out what's inside that box!  But, my pawents said I'll have to wait and see until June 20th to open it!

Texture Tuesday - Gardening

Oh, I like gardening, and that doesn't mean eating plants, or just pulling out weeds, and occasionally some grass.  I enjoy watering flowers.

For Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday challenge I added layers of "Trust," "Silence," and "Soft Shale."

Texture Tuesday - A Photo from YesterYear

This photo is from yesteryear, and it also has one layer of Kim Klassen's texture called 'Yesteryear' especially for her Texture Tuesday challenge today.   Some of you will recognize who the little white sleeping beauty is with her big wide eyes open!  Yes, that is Miss Penny.  This photo was taken during our winter holiday in 2009.  We went together to see the snow for the first time in our lives as pups at Lake Almanor.  It was one of the best vacations we two girls could ask for!  We got lots and lots of snow to play in, and we had a warm fireplace to snuggle up cozy together and stay warm.  Penny is still in our thoughts, and so very missed.  She's doing well, getting along happily with the cat and coming upon her second birthday year too soon.

Cream In My Coffee - For Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday Challenge

This is a photo from last November, but reposted this time with an addition of two pretty textures by Kim Klassen. Her Texture Tuesday Challenge is a tea or coffee cup with an overlay of any of her textures.  I really do like the combination of her two textures, "Cream In My Coffee" and "Soft Shale."  They blend well together!
