I'm Back To My Modeling Career Today...

Well, I didn't work my 2nd job selling stuffed hotdogs at the drive-in today. Instead, I modeled, and I made this thank you card for Romeo's mommy. She gives such adorable girly gifts... see the dainty pink Coach purse looped around my wrist? I wonder if mom would let me borrow it as a pretty treat bag... hmm...

Vivi Cupcake Cookie Monster!

Do you believe the greedy expression? That there, is my evil twin, Vivi Cookie Monster. She won't take her paws off that cupcake cookie (which she received from Rusty Bear).

She will not share a morsel, not even with me!

{In a blink of an eye, Vivi Cookie Monster gobbles her cookie as the word "okay!" is barely uttered. The cookie crumbles and vanishes. Gone.}

Live Laugh Love Everyday

Oh, these sweet delicate Canterbury Bellflowers looked just so pretty yesterday afternoon in their vase by my bedside (of which I so generously share with mum). I just had to show them to you while they're alive and thriving... inspiring and smile-making! I though you might also enjoy the bedside photo too. Have a beautiful summer day!

Canterbury Bells

Some background on Canterbury Bells: Referred to as the bellflower for its bell-like shape, this flower is known by many names, one being “Venus’ Looking Glass.” This name came about because of the campanula’s place in mythological story telling. Venus owned a magical mirror which reflected only beautiful images. When she lost this mirror, she sent Cupid to find it. Cupid dropped the looking glass and it shattered into a million pieces. True to its practice of making everything around it beautiful, the glass fell to the ground and sprouted stunning blue, bell-shaped flowers. These flowers have other folkloric tales attached to them. For instance, it was said that fairies planted campanulas to trap those who passed them – especially small children. The campanula flower is frequently given as a sort of “thank you” gift, as these blossoms are often thought to represent gratitude. They are also given as symbols of affection, as they are sometimes said to symbolize constancy and everlasting love, as well as humility and delicacy.

Texture Tuesday's Pretty Pink eDition

It's Texture Tuesday and Kim Klassen's theme today is Pretty In Pink. While borrowed from the archives, this new version of the photograph has an addition of two beautifully handmade textures by Kim Klassen, "Yesteryear" and "Aurora." She pours her love and care into making her free-to-use textures, so thank you very much Kim!

The sky in San Francisco is very dismal again today. Not so sure the sun will shine from the looks of the clouds. So, I wish the sun shines on everyone else, today.

Light and Lovely Peonies for A Light and Bright Spring Weekend

Happy Furry Friday! The pink peonies are remarkably ripe now with fragrance and beauty. Spring is finally in the air, and with bright vibrance here in California this weekend. Love it! I wish you all a glorious spring weekend, hopefully not too hot, not too cold, but just right. Have fun and enjoy the spring air, and spring light sweet friends.

Peonies from A Kind Gentleman

This magnificent magical pink peony bouquet came home yesterday as a special gift from a kind gentleman stranger at the front of the grocery checkout line. When asked for his first name as I thanked him, he replied, "no names, instead, may the kindness spread beyond and never stop, I just met an old friend who I hadn't seen in many years." The art of random acts of kindness are not lost. And, after photographing the bouquet of 5 blossoms that came home with us with this beautiful blessing, I gave one peonie to Rusty Bear's ma and another peonie to Max's ma. This morning Max's ma said, "Guess what happened to me last night... in the middle of the night I got a random phone call from an old friend of mine who I haven't spoken to in 17 years!"

So the chain of magic goes on and on and on... link after link... person to person. We thank you, whoever you are, dear nameless stranger, and maybe we'll meet again.

ViVi's Spring Portrait

Oh, Springtime is such a pretty season for love and light, hope and new life. Today, I posed for my springtime portrait. I had a bath yesterday after the beach, so I'm very soft, fluffy, and clean today. I smell like oatmeal mango shampoo! I also got to wear a pretty pink scarf to match the pink cherries blossoms in full bloom. The day is just too beautiful to be anywhere except outdoors. So, now it's time to go back outdoors and enjoy the beautiful new flowers opening up every where! I wish everyone a lovely gentle, kind, happy spring this year.
