A Zoomie Joy Run at the Barn

Having just met puppy Harley, a big boy Newfie, I almost lost my wits!  He's only 9-months old and weighs 150 pounds!  And he wears a red bib to catch all his drool!  Is that cute!

Big Bubba

Happy Weekend greetings from Bubba and me!  

Bubba feels better than he did last week, but his left eye is still cloudy and bothersome.  We took him out to graze, but the sunshine was too bright, so we didn't stay outside for long, as he was squinting.  His vet diagnosed him with recurring uvitis.  We have to keep him on meds and hope that it doesn't get any worse, but only better.

Today, I played at the beach and then got a bath.  So glad the sun is shining again.  It was a whole week we didn't see sun.

ViVi Joy On the Run

Happy go running around the barn on a sunny day.  This was a while back on June 26th.  Today the sun did not shine at all, but we went to visit Bubba this evening. 

Update on Bubba: His vet is coming out to look at his eye in the morning.  His eye is a concern because it has become cloudy - not good.  We suspect he might have bumped his head in the Eurosizer, or it could be a fly infection.  We'll know more tomorrow.  But Bubba's spirit is high.

Hi my friends,

Thank you all for your well wishes for Bubba, who I'm glad to say feels somewhat better today.  Poor big boy, he looks like he was in a boxing ring.  His eye is less swollen today and he's feeling relief from the medicine.  We bought him a new fly mask.  He and I share a wonderful daddy who takes good care of us.  You can see, right behind me, Bubba is getting some lov'n from his daddy.

Sunset At The Barn

The sun did finally shine today, in the afternoon, and this evening was so beautiful at the barn.  We watched the sunset and groomed Bubba, who is unfortunately suffering from a bad eye infection today.  He had lost his fly mask and no one notified about it.  We have to take care of his eye tomorrow, and make sure he gets medicine for it, and get him a new fly mask.  My poor brother Bubba.  He cannot open his left eye and he was in no mood to be touched.    

Watching Sunday Evening's Sunset At the Barn

Late this evening, we visited Bubba after he had been fed dinner. When we turned him out into the pasture to graze the grass, the sun was setting behind the mountain. The golden sunlight was extremely beautiful. All was so peaceful and quiet. A truly perfect ending to one of the most beautiful Sundays and a lovely start the month of May.  I hope you've enjoyed a blissful weekend too.  I will try catch up with you all this week to see what you've been up to.  It's rather late now, so time to get rested now.  Good night everyone.

Could I Try Horseback Riding Lessons?

Saturday afternoon, waiting at the barn for Bubba to come out of his stall, I sat and watched a riding lesson and started thinking how fun that could be. My daddy says Bubba would gladly give me a ride on his back.
