Big Bubba

Happy Weekend greetings from Bubba and me!  

Bubba feels better than he did last week, but his left eye is still cloudy and bothersome.  We took him out to graze, but the sunshine was too bright, so we didn't stay outside for long, as he was squinting.  His vet diagnosed him with recurring uvitis.  We have to keep him on meds and hope that it doesn't get any worse, but only better.

Today, I played at the beach and then got a bath.  So glad the sun is shining again.  It was a whole week we didn't see sun.

Watching Sunday Evening's Sunset At the Barn

Late this evening, we visited Bubba after he had been fed dinner. When we turned him out into the pasture to graze the grass, the sun was setting behind the mountain. The golden sunlight was extremely beautiful. All was so peaceful and quiet. A truly perfect ending to one of the most beautiful Sundays and a lovely start the month of May.  I hope you've enjoyed a blissful weekend too.  I will try catch up with you all this week to see what you've been up to.  It's rather late now, so time to get rested now.  Good night everyone.

Bubba Shares His Carrot With Me

Bubba, my dear old Brother Bub, shares his crunchy carrots while he enjoys munching on fresh new grass. It grew so green and tall after last month's rains.  

Could I Try Horseback Riding Lessons?

Saturday afternoon, waiting at the barn for Bubba to come out of his stall, I sat and watched a riding lesson and started thinking how fun that could be. My daddy says Bubba would gladly give me a ride on his back.

{1/17/11 ~ 17/365 2011} Play Day With O'Brother Bubba

Today I had a play day with big old 30-year Bubba. I ran circles around him, and while I ran zoomies, he watched me with great big eyes. We enjoyed a sunny day in the country with summer-like temperatures. I ate carrots and pretended I was a horse.





I was horsing around today... zooming busily... it was so exciting being the only dog around happy horses. It's fun pretending to be a horse, as they really know the freedom of running wildly in the wind.



A new found friend.



With mud on my nose, the day is complete. I'm a country girl at heart.
