Happy Furry Friday From Under A Canopy of Flowers

Despite the grey skies above me all week, I'm ready to start the weekend.  Happy Furry Friday everyone!

Tomorrow, I'll visit my brother Bubba and see how he's doing.  The horse vet diagnosed Bubba with an eye disease. He's getting injections of medicine twice daily, to help him. Poor guy.  

Sunshine Always Miss ViVi Gold

It has been four days of dismal grey cloud cover over San Francisco - a weather pattern that lingers in summer.  And because the sun has not appeared all week, I decided to do something -- I planted these sweet yellow flowers.  Do you like them?  I also wished for a few sun flares to help them grow. And, what do you know, soon after that, the sun peaked through the clouds.  I hope the rest of our summer will be warmer and sunnier here.

My White Carnation

She's a pretty white carnation, balancing on the top of my head, isn't she?

A little background about the white carnation...

Dianthus caryophyllus means "flower of love"

White carnations are suggestive of pure love and good luck.

Carnations have been around for at least 2000 years.

Texture Tuesday's Pretty Pink eDition

It's Texture Tuesday and Kim Klassen's theme today is Pretty In Pink. While borrowed from the archives, this new version of the photograph has an addition of two beautifully handmade textures by Kim Klassen, "Yesteryear" and "Aurora."  She pours her love and care into making her free-to-use textures, so thank you very much Kim!

The sky in San Francisco is very dismal again today.  Not so sure the sun will shine from the looks of the clouds. So, I wish the sun shines on everyone else, today.

ViVi Joy On the Run

Happy go running around the barn on a sunny day.  This was a while back on June 26th.  Today the sun did not shine at all, but we went to visit Bubba this evening. 

Update on Bubba: His vet is coming out to look at his eye in the morning.  His eye is a concern because it has become cloudy - not good.  We suspect he might have bumped his head in the Eurosizer, or it could be a fly infection.  We'll know more tomorrow.  But Bubba's spirit is high.

Hi my friends,

Thank you all for your well wishes for Bubba, who I'm glad to say feels somewhat better today.  Poor big boy, he looks like he was in a boxing ring.  His eye is less swollen today and he's feeling relief from the medicine.  We bought him a new fly mask.  He and I share a wonderful daddy who takes good care of us.  You can see, right behind me, Bubba is getting some lov'n from his daddy.
