Beach Outing With Maddy

The weather got warmer just in time for the weekend so Maddy and I ran and played today at the beach. We had a really fun beach outing together. While I retrieved sticks in the water, she ran down the whole of the beach!  And then, she starting digging in the sand.  We all had a great time!  Now it's time for some relaxation this evening, so hopefully tomorrow we can try going again if it's warm enough.

Lily of the Nile

Happy Furry Friday!  Here's a pretty purple Agapanthus, or Lily of the Nile, in full bloom.  So, let's start our weekend!  Wishing you all a great weekend filled with lot's of sunshine and happiness.

Maddy & I

Sigh.

Well everyone, there's never a good time to break hard news, but Maddy and I feel you should know sooner rather than suddenly later the changes coming our way.  On May 15th, Maddy will be moving with her family many many miles away.  Life brings changes.  C'est la vie.  We still have 4 weeks left before then, so, we will fully enjoy and appreciate all the time we have between now and then.  Right?  Right!!

ViVi The Flower Girl

Down. Stay. Come!

Whenever I'm asked to stay down, I'm not supposed to move until I hear "come."  Then, I come running to receive my pats and a treat, either a stick or a cookie.  So here I am at full attention, listening for the "c" word, and, there I am running at top speed to receive my rewards.  And, when I'm done practicing, I wander and start to wonder, why the cats sitting in the window look like they want to "come" join me outside.

Bubba Shares His Carrot With Me

Bubba, my dear old Brother Bub, shares his crunchy carrots while he enjoys munching on fresh new grass. It grew so green and tall after last month's rains.  

Sunday Morning Paper & Coffee In Bed

Ah, Sunday morning relaxation.  The wonderful weekend.  I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday too.  

Well, after skimming my paper and sipping my coffee, I went to obedience class in the park with five other doggy students. They are so serious.  I'm not allowed to be a goofball, nor are any of the other dogs.  It's quite strict.  But later this afternoon, I'm visiting Bubba at the barn.  And, if the temperature warms up enough to the 60s by 5pm, I also might go to the beach too for a swim and some exercise.
