Tasty and Tipsy

2011-07-24-winery-russian-rive

My pawents and I spent a beautiful sunny Saturday in the wine country along the Russian River Valley.  We visited a winery called Martinelli for tasting and a sandwich picnic.  Of course they know I'm under age, but I did get to taste a bit of the fruit. So, I think Chardonnay is too buttery. I prefer Pinot... a complex, vibrant, and sexy wine.  To their credit, Martinelli has a fabulous Pinot vintage that could rival the varietals of Santa Inez.  Hopefully, we'll venture to Santa Inez later this year, so stay tuned!

Have a splendid weekend everybody!
