I am so proud to announce Dancers Love Dogs, a non-profit organization in South Africa that is helping to reduce the growing population of homeless dogs in dire need by donating 100% of dance performance tickets to mass sterilization.
I am also proud and honored to be the 'poster pup' for Dancers Love Dogs.
My photograph features the magical pointe shoe worn by the great American prima ballerina Gelsey Kirkland in her performance of "La Sylphide" with American Ballet Theatre in the late 1970's. Miss Kirkland generously granted her pointe shoes to my mommy, who creates all my works.
Dancers Love Dogs, founded by Brigitte Reeve-Taylor, has already helped 600 homeless dogs (and cats) in South Africa in almost half a year since their first performance on May 16th 2012. Hi-five!
